From Greece to Sweden - A Joyful Summer Wedding Celebration in the Land of the Midnight Sun - Melissa & Emilio

I might be partial here, ok? But as a Brazilian guy who married a Swedish wifey, I am a big fan of mixed—cultural weddings. That’s the case here in the wedding of Melissa & Emilio, which brings that colourful and vibrant Greek touch to the party.

First things first. If you are not familiar with a perfect summer day in Sweden, here it is: awesomely sunny, nature shouts joy, the light is amazing and one cannot avoid but to have a blast in days like that here. And on top of that, when you add a beautiful daytime outdoor wedding, filled with beautiful people and all that great weather… My, oh, my! What a day to remember!

I followed the couple from the very beginning of the day. I met Melissa to capture the details when she was getting ready and mommy followed along. At first mommy was shy in front of the camera, but hey. We got it covered. In a heartbeat she was all smiles. :) Once Melissa was done with the beautiful hairdo and makeup, it was time to put on that white dress many girls dream of. From there I went to meet the man of the hour. Mr. Groom. Emilio.

I met Emilio at his Greek parent’s apartment and I got that warm Greek welcome. Ok, people. Here comes an obvious remark: Greek guys are confident and they have style. You can see by the pictures that I am not lying. We got family shots and some big-brother-to-younger-brother moments too. (Spoiler alert: the very next year I was photographing the younger brother’s wedding. You will love the photos as well.)

When I went to the venue it was so beautiful. Outdoors, under the trees with the friends and family mingling around over a beautiful green grass field with a view to the lake. I wish I could write an entire book about all that took place that day, but the photos will do the work for me. But I can say this: On a multi-cultural wedding with a Greek touch you get it all: Style, Elegance, Colours, Laughters, Music and Dance.
