4 Reasons Why Hiring a Professional Photographer is Better Than a Friend Who Takes “Good Photos”.

While it may seem like a cost-effective option to ask a friend to photograph your special event or photoshoot, there are several reasons why hiring a professional photographer is the better choice.

As a professional photographer, I often get asked the question: "Why should I hire a professional photographer instead of just asking a friend who takes 'good' photos to do it?"

While it may seem like a cost-effective option to ask a friend to photograph your special event or photoshoot, there are several reasons why hiring a professional photographer is the better choice.

1) First and foremost, a professional photographer has the training, experience, and expertise to consistently deliver high-quality images. We have spent years learning the technical aspects of photography such as lighting, composition, and exposure, and we have honed our skills through practice and experience.

2) Professional photographers have the necessary equipment to produce high-quality images. This includes professional-grade cameras, lenses, and lighting equipment that allow us to capture the best possible images in any situation.

3) Reliability. A professional photographer is a reliable and trustworthy business professional who has a vested interest in delivering the best possible service to their clients. On the other hand, a friend may not have the same level of reliability and may not prioritise your event as a professional would.

4) Hiring a professional photographer gives you the peace of mind that comes with knowing that your images are in the hands of someone who is fully dedicated to capturing your special moments in the best possible way.

In conclusion, while it may seem tempting to ask a friend to photograph your special event or photoshoot, hiring a professional photographer is the best choice for consistently high-quality images, reliability, and peace of mind. Trust a professional to capture the memories of your special day.

5 tips to get ready for your Bridal Session

No matter if you are shy or not, it will most likely be the first time that you are having bridal portraits taken of you, so how about some tips?

It is your big day!

You are going to be looking stunning with your bridal hair and make up, florals and accessories. Your dream is gonna finally come true! And the cherry on top? You will have besides all the beautiful memories registered in unforgettable pictures, a chance to feel like a model for around one hour in your bridal session. You will be the star at that session, the focus will be you!

No matter if you are shy or not, it will most likely be the first time that you are having bridal portraits taken of you, so how about some tips?

We have compiled 5 tips to help you out to prepare for your session!

  1. Good schedule is a must

If you choose to have your bridal session before the wedding day that will require you to plan and synchronise with your bridal shop or whoever is involved in your bridal arrangements such as venue, hair/make up artist and florist. Plus, we will need at least 3-4 weeks in advance to be able to have plenty of time to edit your portraits.

On the other hand if you choose to have your bridal session on the very day of the wedding, make sure to allow some spare time so that we can have enough time to photograph/film you looking gorgeous as the bride you are. That way you won’t be stressed or rushed.

  2. Your Make up and Hair

This tip works specially if you want to have your bridal session before the wedding day.
How about contacting your hair and make up artist to schedule a trial? Don’t underestimate this tip. Your hair and make up artist might fill up their booking pretty quick. Make sure to contact them and book in advance. And a trial is always great since that way you can have plenty of time to make any change (if really necessary. Haven’t faced one single case where that was needed yet. ).

  3. What location to choose?

Will you want to have your bridal session at the same venue of the wedding? Then why not trying to ask your wedding venue if they will allow you to schedule your bridal session there at no extra cost as part of your booking package?
If not there, make sure to confirm if the location requires permits or rental fees to take photos on their property.

Want to photograph outdoors? Amazing! Just take into consideration the type of your overall look and maybe the limitations of your dress. It would be great to go on wild and adventurous locations, and we love couples who are willing to go full throttle on that to get absolutely stunning and epic shots, but how about if you are wearing a long cathedral-style train? That wouldn’t really be suitable for a bridal session on a field or somewhere outdoors.

  4. Your Florals & Accessories

Once again if you plan on having your bridal session before your wedding day then you should keep in touch with your florist. Explain them you are going to have a bridal session and that you will need them to provide you with a bouquet that matches the one you will carry down the aisle.
Be sure to keep the bouquet in water until you arrive to your portrait location. Even if your bridal session will be on your wedding day mixed with the other photo sessions of the day, keep your bridal bouquet in water for as long as possible before you start caring it around for the day.
As for the accessories it is really important that your look matches with the one you will have on your wedding day. Try to bring any accessories and jewelry you plan on wearing for your wedding day. Maybe one bag to carry the accessories would be perfect.

  5. How to keep up the pace and don’t forget a good companion

Although you are going to have lots of fun feeling like a model during the session, don’t fool yourself, it is surprising how much energy it takes posing and staying focused with all of the attention on you! So bring water and maybe some light snacks. If you feel good you will look good!
Besides that you will need help during the bridal session. We strongly recommend you to bring 1-2 people to help you out. But not just anyone. You should really be sure to bring someone who is uplifting and energetic so that you actually enjoy yourself! Trust us. That is one of the most important tips. Your assistants will help holding and fluffing your dress or carrying your flowers/bag.

    This is it!
Now it is time to get ready and enjoy yourself as a model on a perfect bridal session! We will give you all the tips on how to posed positioning yourself. You will look fantastic! Always be yourself and let us take care of the rest. Feel happy, smile and have fun!
